Critical vacancies in procurement
Vacancies in procurement, critical projects, or high time and cost pressure are moments in which inaction can quickly make the situation worse.
As an interim manager, I take on responsibility during such phases, close your competence and resource gaps at short notice, and use the exceptional situation to strengthen processes, structures, and know-how within your procurement function.
My engagement can take the form of either a project or a leadership role.
Temporary project role –
Senior procurement expertise on a fixed-term basis
In this role, I temporarily take on project responsibility for procurement topics.
Examples include project procurement in demanding sales or client projects, project leadership for the development and implementation of category strategies, or project leadership for cross-functional inventory reduction initiatives.
Temporary leadership role –
Leading procurement, strengthening the team
In this role, I temporarily take on the leadership of your procurement function and hand over a well-ordered procurement organisation to my successor in due course.
Alternatively, you may already have a procurement manager in place and wish to support and develop that person at short notice. In this case, I deliberately stay in the background and support your colleague through expert advice and practical solutions.
